It’s going to be a great few days for gaming news as Gamescom is in full swing and they have a new trailer for the upcoming Ghost of Yōtei coming in 2025. But along with a new trailer we got the announcement for DLC titled Ghost of Yōtei Legends coming in 2026. Now let’s watch the lovely Erika Ishii voice the lead character Atsu.
Now I played Ghost of Tsushima till every achievement was done which is rare for me because I need to move on to my next game so believe it when I say I enjoyed the game. Sucker Punch’s team nailed that one so I will be getting on this game day one. Yes, it’s a classic storytelling trope of someone coming back for vengeance on those that wronged them and I’m perfectly fine with that. Nothing like someone getting a much deserved comeuppance to brighten my day. The main character played by voice actor Erika Ishii is Atsu a ronin who adopts a persona of an Onryō. A vengeful spirit capable of causing harm in the real world. I feel a real foreboding with that moniker being put on this character so we’ll see where the story takes us. No speculation because I’m here for them telling the tale.
But along with that in 2026 we’ll have DLC allowing players to team up like the previous game. This time along with the four player matches we’ll have 2 player story missions with this upcoming DLC and they even showed some artwork of some of the enemies you’ll encounter during those missions.
I have so much anticipation with this game after the success of the previous one and this new trailer just makes everything feel bigger in scale. Take your time Sucker Punch cause I’ll be here waiting.
