Wasn’t it just yesterday that I was on here talking about how Prime Video keep delivering on video game properties? Well, here we are again cause in September it was announced that Sophie Turner would be taking on the role of Lara Croft in the upcoming Prime Video series Tomb Raider. Well production has started but how accurate to the look are they going to go in this upcoming series?

Oh, that accurate. There you have it folks you can’t get any closer to the source material than that. This image is screaming Lara Croft. The shades, the stance, that hair oh and I hear she’s British. I’m joking of course because we have seen Sophie grow up on the hit show Game of Thrones developing her acting chops in roles like Jean Grey in two films in the X-Men franchise and one of my favorites Barely Lethal with Hailee Steinfeld and Samuel Jackson. Not to mention her tv work and if you haven’t seen her on Joan go check it out.
But the series has some other strong members of the cast with names Jason Issacs, Jack Bannon, Paterson Joseph, Sigourney Weaver, and Bill Paterson. Phoebe Waller-Bridge will perform creative, writing, show running and executive producing and Jonathan Van Tulleken will direct.

So far one season is confirmed but production has begun for a late 2026 or early 2027 release. That’s all the details we have now but when we get more you can find them here.
