I meant to write this up yesterday but hey better late than never. Prime Video has shown off the latest teaser trailer for Spider-Noir starring Nicolas Cage. I got the trailer, let’s take a look.
Oh what’s that? Jason you posted the same thing twice. Or you watched both and I have no critique for you. This series will be presented in black and white and a True Hue color version. Debuting on MGM+ May 25th and then on Prime Video May 27th its all dropping at once so you can binge the whole series and then go back and watch it in the other version.
Based up the Spider-Noir character voiced by Nicolas Cage in the popular Spider-verse movies the character comes to live action. Now the third installment is late but I’m not bitter at all about that, okay maybe a little so it’s nice to get something to take the edge off.
“Spider-Noir” is a live-action series based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir. “Spider-Noir” tells the story of Ben Reilly (Cage), an aging and down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.
So I’m guessing this takes place sometime after the Spider-Verse movie because he mentions he loves punching Nazis as all of us do I’m sure. The effects look very good and I was surprised we’re going to see some web slinging and not some watered down effects. Nicolas Cage looks to have some very “Cagey” scenes as well. You know what I’m talking about.
The series stars Nicolas Cage/ Ben Reilly / The Spider, Lamorne Morris/ Robbie Robertson, Jack Huston/ Flint Marko, Brendan Gleeson/ Silvermane, Li Jun Li/ Cat Hardy, and Karen Rodriguez/ Janet. The series will be directed by Nzingha Stewart.
