Episode 5 of the Loki series on Disney Plus aired this morning and I must admit knowing next week is the last episode makes me a bit sad. And just briefly to review the episode it was great. The character development on Loki has been phenomenal and I’ve really enjoyed the story and the characters. But you know, it’s those moments when you see something and you do that Leonardo DiCaprio point and go “LOOK LOOK! EASTER EGG!!”
So, the first is this shot with one of the most ridiculous things in Marvel Comics, the Thanos Copter.
I laughed out loud at this one to be honest. I mean they even put the Thanos on the tail fin so there would be no mistaking it. And I appreciate that.
Next one is what is obviously a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier. Cool to see but surprising, not really.
But this last one, well that did it for me. There’s a Mjolnir just laying in the dirt but panning down just a bit more there’s a shot of a frog dressed as Thor trapped in a jar trying to get to it. So yes nerds, Frog Thor is now canon in the MCU.
Oh, and let’s not forget this whole herd of Loki’s that I’m pretty sure covers all of them ever depicted.
So only one episode to go in what I would say is one of the MCU’s best Disney Plus series. I’m patiently waiting for the What If series to begin but I think we could have another season of Loki considering how good this one was.
