Now we’re talking. As Loki nears it’s final episode Disney Plus has to keep the train rolling for it’s show’s and this is the one I was most excited for. Marvel’s What If…? series.
If you’re unfamiliar the original comic series this was based off of pretty much catered to us fans with all of our arguments of what if this happened or what if this happened. Like what if Wolverine killed the Hulk? What is Uncle ben hadn’t died? You get the point right? the premise was Uatu the Watcher would present us a story of how events may have transpired instead. Well now we’re getting all new stories voiced by actors reprising their roles from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Allow me to hold the hollering as I finish this article. So Uatu will be voiced my fantastic actor Jeffrey Wright and he will narrate the 10 episode series. The first episode will air August 11th, 2021 but don’t fret that number as a second season is already in the works. The cast of this series will include Halley Atwell as Sharon Carter/ Captain Carter, the late Chadwick Boseman as T’Cahlla/Star-Lord, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger, Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta, and so many more. I just love the concept of the rules of the MCU are off and new stories can be forged with no set history to follow.
As a long time fan of this series in comic form I’m genuinely excited for this to make its way to the small screen. Someone get the hashtag What If Wednesdays going because I’m here for it.
