HBO’s Peacemaker, a prequel series to the DC character Peacemaker, has finished filming in Canada. James Gunn, who is writing and directing the series sent out a tweet late last night.

The series stars John Cena, who has described his character as a “douchey Captain America” and will explore the story of Peacemaker before the events of Suicide Squad, which hits theaters August 6th. The show will debut on HBO Max and is set for 8 episodes. No date has been set for when the series will premier other than sometime in January 2022.
