Final Fantasy XIV’s Benchmark is Finally Available!

You read that title correctly! If you’re curious how your computer will handle the hit MMRPG FFXIV Online (Free till lvl 60, including the expansion Heavensward), this is your chance. You can find the benchamrk at this link right here. All it needs is a simple download and you’ll be good to go! Don’t know what to expect but wants a heads up? Don’t worry, SCNS has you covered:
You’ll need to unzip the file, but once that’s completed, simply click in the folder and you’ll find the button to start.

Once it pops up, you’ll be given two options. You an go ahead and start the benchmark test with the default Warrior of Light as the star, OR…..you can make your own! Part of the fun with the benchmark test is getting your hands on the character creator and making your very own playable character. This character can even be saved and imported into the game so all the hard work is already done! That’s not all though: You’ll also get the chance to play around with the male Viera creation as well!

You’ll also get the choice of which Paladin armour your character gets to wear for the test. Personally, I am a fan of the Dreadwyrm tanking set, but you have quite a few to pick from, so pick whichever best suits your tastes. If you like the aromour in the Endwalker trailers, that’s an option as well.

Save your character and you’re ready for the test! Click run test, sit back, and enjoy seeing your character be the hero they were always meant to be. You’ll get a score afterwards letting you know how well your PC can handle the game. Here’s the less than stellar results from my own test:

If you’re computer just can’t handle it, the game is also available for PS4 and PS5. No benchmark is available for these systems as it’s already able to handle the game. The new expansion will be rolling out November 23, 2021, this fall! If you preorder now, you can take advantage of getting to play the game a little earlier.
That’s all for now! I hope you’ll give this wonderful MMO a shot and I can’t wait to see all of our new Warriors of Light out in the world saving Eorzea soon!
