There was a Nintendo Direct yesterday that I sadly missed. But while people are questioning the Mario movie casting I’m more interested in the trailer for Bayonetta 3.
So yes I am a huge fan of this game series since day one. Yes I got the sequel and rerelease on my Switch as well. Hideki Kamiya’s vision of a female Dante from Devil May Cry was and still is my jam. I was glad to see Nintendo save the release of the sequel after it could have died in development. For those not familiar you take on the role of Bayonette real named Cereza who wields the powers of an Umbral Witch as she dispatches all sorts of foes with magic and bullets. I highly recommend picking up the series on Switch if you’re up for some fast-paced action.
Bayonetta 3 will have Cereza travelling to Japan to face a new foe that is not from the heavens or hell. Two new abilities announced are Demon Masquerade where she can summon a demon and fuse with it to control it in battle against a foe and Demon Slave where she can control them directly with her will. Bayonetta is scheduled for release 2022.
