Star Wars Celebration is in full swing and you can expect the news to be coming fast and furious. That’s a different franchise but you can bet I’m here to gush and fawn over everything that is Star Wars. But on to the next series to debut in the Star Wars universe Andor.
Rogue One is one of my favorite Star Wars movies. It really stands out from other movies by showing the dirty work side of the Rebel Alliance and the sacrifice of soldiers. Andor was an intelligence officer in the Rebel Alliance and we saw early on how much he would be willing to do in the film for the cause. The series will see actor Diego Luna returning to the role set 5 years before the events of Rogue One. And this trailer looks fantastic. I love how this was edited and even though it’s a teaser it’s really pulling me in. We also get our first look at Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma during her time as a Republic Senator. Also starring in the series will be Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Fiona Shaw, Kyle Soller and Forrest Whittaker is set to return as Saw Guerrera.
The series is set to debut August 31st, 2022 on Disney Plus with a second season being developed. It will consist of 12 episodes. I’m all in for a very unique adventure in the Star Wars Universe and it’s good to have Diego Luna back for another run as I thought he was great in Rogue One. Happy Star Wars Celebration guys.
