How did I miss the announcement for Bayonetta 3? I mean it’s one of my favorite game series. I like fast action beat em ups like Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden. But along with this trailer we get a release date and Bayonetta 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch October 28th 2022. Let’s look at the trailer.
I loved the release of Bayonetta 2 on my Nintendo Switch, it didn’t hurt it came with a copy of the first game as well. It’s going to be nice to step into the gun shoes of the Umbra Witch Cereza in this third outing. And this time there’s an all new enemy, not heaven, not hell, but a man made threat in the form of Homonculi. And along with the familiar faces of Luka, Enzo, Rodin, and Jeanne and new witch in training will be present as a playable character. Viola is packing some attitude and a big sword. Good combo. I must admit she looks like a female Dante. And since I like those games, I’m fine with that. Also she has a giant inflatable cat demon named Cheshire. Yes I’m surprised I put those words together to describe something too but this is Bayonetta we’re talking about here. Also it won’t be just one Bayonetta you’ll be fighting as because we’re bring the Bayonetta’s, plural as you fight as many different versions of the titular character. And don’t think I didn’t notice some of those new forms in the game. I’m so looking forward to fighting as a giant magic kaiju.
Bayonetta 3 arrives on the Nintendo Switch October 28th, 2022 at $29.99 MSRP. This is being pushed as a download but Nintendo is saying select stores will be offering physical copies. I would get your pre-orders in if you can nerds.
