Black Widow opened this past weekend with $80 million domestically, an additional $60 from Disney+ Premier Access, and $78 million internationally. This is also the first time that Disney has released information relating to its Premier Access sales, with Cruella and Raya and the Last Dragon having been released on Disney+ earlier this year, but not data was released. With theaters still slowly opening up (81% of US theaters were open this weekend) Black Widow overtook F9 as the biggest opening of the Pandemic Era box office. Internationally, theaters are even slower opening up due to Covid-19, including parts of Canada, Southeast Asia, Australia and Latin America. China does not have a release date yet, though the Box Office has come back in a big way, with U.K.-based industry analytics firm Gower Street predicting China will hit $8 billion, followed by the U.S. at $5.2 billion.
