Looks like Princess Leia is set to make an appearance in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney Plus and she’ll be played by Vivien Lyra Blair (The Guilty, Indebted). As reported by Jordan Maison of Cinelinx. This would establish the connection we saw in A New Hope where Princess Leia reached out to Obi-Wan for his assistance. Filming began on the six episode series in April of this year with it expecting to debut sometime in 2022.
The Obi-Wan series is set to take place ten years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Set to appear in the series is Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, O’Shea Jackson Jr, and Kumail Nanjiani. Writer Joby Harold and director Deborah Chow are also attached to the series.
