A new Witcher is taking center stage. Actually it’s an old Witcher. A new Netflix Anime is coming to the streaming platform and it’s The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and it’s shows up the first adventures of Vesemir the oldest Witched in the current timeline we’re following and trainer to Geralt and his fellow Witchers. But the Vesemir we’re being introduced to is young, a bit reckless, and out for glory.
Now supposedly we’ll be meeting Vesemir in the upcoming season 2 of The Witcher live action series but I’m excited for this one because we’ll be seeing exactly how Witcher’s come to be. I’m pretty sure they’re going to be showing this to us in Season 2 as well. A synopsis of the series states.
“Escaping from poverty to become a Witcher, Vesemir slays monsters for coin and glory, but when a new menace rises, he must face demons from his past.”
Voice casting for this includes Theo James as Vesemir, Lara Pulver as Tetra, Mary McDonnel as Lady Zerbst, and Graham McTavis as Deglan. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich for The Witcher will also be heading up this series and Kwang Han will direct and Beau DeMayo wrote. The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will premiere August 23, 2021.
