Injustice Movie Releases This October

Injustice: Gods Among Us is one of the best games ever released. An excellent fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios the guys behind Mortal Kombat it combined a great fighting mechanic and an excellent storyline. I once said that watching all the cutscenes collected made for the best DC movie I had watched all year. It was popular enough to spawn a sequel and multiple fighting packs with tons of unique characters some not even in the DC franchise. To further flesh out the story DC Comics ran a long running series based on events of the game and expanding the universe even more. So, it was only a matter of time before someone realized this should be an actual movie so we can make some money.

Injustice will be an animated film based on the video game and it arrives on Blue Ray, DVD, and Digital October 19th, 2021. Without ruining the story for those that may not have played the game imagine if Superman went bad. And I’m not talking he stop combing his hair so neat I’m talking he took that step that we never thought he would take. Watching these events unfold in the game I was shocked and awed. If you’re curious go play the game on easy and just watch the storyline cut scenes. Seriously it’s that good.

Cast to be in the film will be Justin Hartley as Superman and Anson Mount as Batman. Also in the film are Janet Varney as Wonder Woman, Brandon Michael Hall as Cyborg, Kevin Pollak as Joker & Jonathan Kent, Anika Noni Rose as Catwoman, Reid Scott as Green Arrow & Victor Zsasz, Edwin Hodge as Mr. Terrific & Killer Croc, Gillian Jacobs as Harley Quinn, Oliver Hudson as Plastic Man, Laura Bailey as Lois Lane & Rama Kushna, Faran Tahir as Ra’s al Ghul, Derek Phillips as Nightwing & Aquaman, Yuri Lowenthal as Mirror Master, Flash & Shazam, Zach Callison as Damian & Jimmy Olsen, Brian T. Delaney as Green Lantern, and  Fred Tatasciore as Captain Atom. Matt Peters will direct.

You want to tune into DC’s Fandome this year as we’ll be getting a sneak peek at the film before it releases October 16th. The one thing that I’m counting on is the brutality of Injustice. The DC Home Entertainment movies don’t tend to disappoint on this front, so I am anxiously waiting.
