Been so long since the site was up that here we are with a new trailer for the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania movie coming to theaters February 17th, 2023. With just a little over a moth to go we get a trailer that gives us more details about that movie and maybe has this as the darkest in the trilogy. Let’s take a look.
Never has an Ant-Man and Wasp movie given me chills like this one. I love the focus on all that Scott has accomplished but the regret of his time away from his daughter haunts him. So, he makes a deal. And Jonathan Majors as Kang playing the next big bad for the MCU really hits with some gravity in this trailer. And we see Kang’s not coming alone as he is commanding a massive force and we also see our first shot of M.O.D.O.K. played by Corey Stoll who played Darren Cross in the first Ant-Man. So it looks like Yellowjacket’s fate from the first movie ended with him not only working for Kang but also looking like, well just look at M.O.D.O.K., if that’s not a curse I don’t know what is. I think the movie had to have this tone as this is Phase 5 of the MCU and we need to start with a bang.
Overall, I’m liking what I see with this. Scott seeing his child maybe going down the path he took and blaming himself for it should make for an interesting storyline, especially considering he is willing to make a deal just to make sure his child’s life is better. The setting for this movie is also drop dead gorgeous and on the level of some of the stuff we saw in Dr. Strange. Hard to believe this is less than a month away. Also, Hasbro where are the toys for this? Get to work on that.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania releases in theaters February 17, 2023 and is directed by Peyton Reed who also directed the first two and written by Jeff Loveless. Jason The X I actually just read in the casting Jimmy Woo played by Randall Park will return and I should have had written this whole article on how wholesome he is. Follow me @JasonTheX
