Coyote Vs Acme Review

I kind of love when fans make their voices heard and some good comes out of it. 4 years ago, this film got shelved for a tax write off and the public said hell no to that. So now that it was released did the campaign to get this movie released pay off? Yes, I say it did.

With a 15.4 million dollar opening fans showed up and I think with more word of mouth this movie could stand to be a solid money maker for WB who I want to add again shelved this movie. The reviews are saying otherwise as audiences are loving it. The story follows Wile E. Coyote realizes his failure to catch the Roadrunner are not his own as time and time again it’s the Acme products he bought that were his undoing. He decided it’s time to get revenge not on the bird but the corporation that has hindered him. He enlists settlement specialist Kevin Avery played by Will Forte to not get a pittance but to make Acme pay what is truly owed for every one of their failed products.

This is some great animation mixed with a very good cast that delivers. The movie was not hilarious every second of it but should be looked at less of a comedy but a tale of two underdogs fighting the big guys. It had the same elements that made Who Framed Roger Rabbit a success and one of my favorite movies. Yes, this has been tried in recent films to varying degrees of slight success this one has a good story to accompany it and that’s where this movie’s strength. The cast is very good, and I have to give additional kudos to actress Lana Condor who plays Kevin’s niece and intern for his law office.

Coyote vs. Acme is worth a watch. I thought the animation and acting were strong in this and a story that was enjoyable consistently throughout the run. I give it a solid 4 out of 5.
