It’s been a good resurgence for Star Trek television wise. With shows like Discovery, Picard, and the upcoming Prodigy and the recent announcement of a new movie on the Kelvin timeline Star Trek is alive and well. And then Lower Decks came along and gave me the Star trek show I never knew I wanted. Raunchy, animated comedy. And here is the trailer for Season 2 of that show I just so lovingly mentioned.
It’s been a good day for trailers for me. So yes the crew of the Cerritos is coming back for another season. Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noel Wells, and Eugene Cordero will reprise their roles on the hilarious series as those crew members that you see in the background of the Star Trek shows. It’s set to premiere August 12th, 2021 on Paramount Plus and a third season is already in production. The trailer also showed us Jonathan Frakes would be returning as Captain Will Riker and Robert McNeil would reprise his role as Tom Paris from Star Trek Voyager, but in a strange way. Only a few weeks away and I can’t wait.
