The Thor: Love and Thunder teaser trailer has finally released with the movie debuting July 8th,2022. So what did we get with all of our cries of “Where’s the trailer?” Well, not much.
First off, I’m loving seeing the costumes of Thor including that good ol Marvel Comics 616 costume. But we find out Thor after departing after the events of Avenger: Endgame is trying to find himself. And honestly after all the character has been through it sounds like a good idea. I’m guessing the Ravager costume we see him in is a short-lived stint during his journey of self-discovery. And hey it looks like Korg played by Taika Waititi who also directs the film will be joining him for part of it. We also see a shot of Tessa Thompson the new Queen of Asgard looking positively bored but also positively gorgeous in a three-piece suit. And it looks like we’ll be see some of the Greek gods as it was announced Russell Crowe would be playing Zeus. I mean the lightning bolt is a dead giveaway. But let’s save the best for last because our parting shot is a rebuilt Mjolnir wielding Natalie Portman as the new Mighty Thor. I can’t wait to see how this is explained in the movie. Yes, I know how it is in the comics that doesn’t mean that’s how they’re going to tell it here.
Thor: Love and Thunder debuts in the U.S. July 8th, 2022. Written and directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster / Mighty Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, Jaimie Alexander as Sif, and of course Matt Damon.
