Ryan Reynolds is, well he’s just the best. The man has entertained us for years but if there was anyone to play Marvel Comic’s Deadpool, it was going to him. With Disney acquiring all the Marvel properties like they were Infinity Stones everyone questioned what they would do with he Deadpool franchise. Kevin Feige said back in 2021 that they would be doing something with the character. And after 4 long years after the acquisition, we have the first real news about the film. And who else should make that announcement but Ryan himself.
Well, that was not what I was expecting. So, yeah that is confirmation that Hugh Jackman will be returning to the role of Logan a.ka. the Wolverine. Well hang on a sec I have to run, scream, and wave my arms in the air wildly. Okay now that I finished that this is great news. Logan was the last movie that we saw Hugh Jackman play the ol Canucklehead and I thought like many that would be the end him playing the role. But the Patrick Stewart had to float his high tech wheelchair on the scene and all bets were off. Welcome back Hugh, bring it home.
Deadpool 3 debuts in theaters September 6th 2024 and stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool. Also returning are Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, and Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine. Shawn Levy will direct with a script written by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Lolyneax-Logelin.
