The new Creed 3 trailer just hit, see what I did there, and it looks great. Michael B. Jordan steps back into the role of Adonis Creed faced with a figure from his past. And this will mark the directorial debut of Jordan as well. Let’s watch the trailer.
This movie will mark the absence of longtime franchise actor Sylvester Stallone. And I know some will miss that, but this is mainly to move the franchise forward. I would like to note Stallone himself announced it was his decision to move on from the role. The movie does take place a few years after the second film with Adonis having set up his own training facility and he looks to be doing well for himself. That is until Anderson Dame a who has just been released from prison after 18 years due to a run in with police that included Adonis. Now he wants what he feels was owed to him and will take it from Creed.
This movie is pure star power. Michael B. Jordan is massively talented, and I love the fact he’s moving into directing. Jonathan Majors is a rare talent that I hope to see great things from especially as a certain Avengers villain soon. Top this off with Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, and a story from the Coogler brothers and Zac Baylin I am going in with the bar set high for this film. Wood Harris and Florian Munteanu will also reprise their roles as Tony “Little Duke” Evers and Victor Drago.
Look for Creed 3 to be released by MGM March 3rd, 2023.
