Get ready Marvel Cinematic fans because what Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is bringing is going to be huge. Ever since the words Multiverse were uttered all the comic fans knew that things just got upended and nothing is set in stone. With Disney buying up all the loose rights that are out there and characters like Kingpin, Daredevil, and the Fox version of Quicksilver appearing we now know one thing. To quote the great Macho Man Randy Savage, “Nothing means nothing!” Here’s the first full Trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Following the events of Doctor Strange Mordo tolsd Stephen that the bill would be due one day. That day is now. With Strange interfering in the flow of time in Endgame and No Way Home he has caused serious rift in the timeline. Even telling people in Infinity War that there were only a few instances in which they would win he was playing his hand to much. He was warned this day was coming and now I’m not sure what to expect from this movie.
So let’s do a bit of dissection here. Strange is being taken somewhere by some bots that look like a cross between Ultron and some Iron Man tech. And I think that’s exactly what they are. In that chamber he walked into a room with a number of high backed chairs. And without a doubt we heard the voice of Sir Patrick Stewart. Now logically this should be Professor X. So I’m putting two and two together and I’m getting six. I think we just saw our first look at Marvel’s Illuminati. The original seats on it were Professor X, Iron Man, Black Bolt, Namor, Reed Richards, and Dr. Strange. If I’m right, then understand this is huge news for the MCU. It also goes back to my original statement of we have no idea what’s about to happen with he future of the MCU.
I know the phrase buckle up is overused so in this case I’m going to say unfasten the seat belts and let’s get crazy. This is going to turn everything we know and everything that could possibly happen on its head. And with Sam Raimi steering this ship I couldn’t be happier to get thrown about. Sam Raimi will direct with a script written by Jade Halley Bartlett and Michael Waldron. Returning to the film are Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange, Benedict Wong as Wong, Rachel McAdams as Dr. Christine Palmer, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Karl Mordo. Also starring in the film are Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and America Chavez as Xochitl Gomez. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be in theaters May 6th, 2022.
