Glad to see Disney remembered this series was coming out and did some promotion for it. Okay let’s armor up for the first full trailer for the upcoming Disney series Ironheart.
Okay so I must admit I wasn’t crazy about how Riri was introduced in Wakanda Forever. Ultimately her appearance was kind of throwaway and I was a fan of how she was introduced in the comics. With Tony Stark taking her under his wing and giving her some guidance. But now it’s like Wakanda brought her in, let her make a suit, then took it and was just like “Bye Girl!” Nah you can’t do Riri like that. But hey Ryan Coogler is at the helm on this so I’m going to trust the process. I will say I like Dominique Thorne as Riri though and I’m looking forward to more character development that I felt was missing from her in Wakanda Forever.
Joining Dominique will be Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins the villain also known as the The Hood. In the comics The Hood was leader of a crime syndicate and possessed and Red Hood that gave him invisibility and teleportation along with a set of boots that allowed him to walk on the air. The hood also allows him to channel magic through traditional weaponry. I am looking forward to Anthony Ramos in some more roles after seeing him in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts because The Hood, is a scumbag to be sure. I am putting you all on notice that this guy is going to be hated.
Along with this I see Cree Summer cast in this. Now that is some legendary acting creds there and know for her voice over roles as well. To that I say I want Cree Summer as an AI for Riri’s suit. It’s going to work trust me. I need this.
Debuting June 24th on Disney Plus with three episodes of the six issue series. Apparently the series is on a wait and see as to if it gets a second season.
