Well, it is that time of the year. Yes friends, Hasbro is offering their newest Haslab for their G.I. Joe Classified line. Last year’s Cobra Rattler is being shipped with some people already receiving theirs, so Hasbro must put you in a pinata and beat some more money out of you. But this year’s offering might leave you in the cold? Okay I tried whatever here is the video for the Haslab Snow C.A.T.
Here we go again. So right off the rip I like the Snow C.A.T. And at 325 dollars this is a good price. This was a very prominent vehicle in the G.I. Joe cartoon whenever a mission in the cold was needed and not only are we getting a new figure with it, but we’re also getting two new molds of existing figures. Also included is going to be a small playset Bivouac with some accessories but the real star is the Snow C.A.T. coming in at 21.05 inches long, 10.44 inches wide, and 10.85 inches tall this thing is big. It made the H.I.S.S. Tank look small in comparison so start clearing some space collectors. With the Snow C.A.T. we’ll be getting Farley “Frostbite” Seward for the first time in the line. He’ll have two head sculpts, a rifle, sidearm, and a thermos with a removable top. The Snow C.A.T. will have a removable missile turret, four missiles, two blast effects and its ski torpedoes that can have the torpedo removed to serve as a snowboard for your Joes. They also demonstrated the lights in the video and said they would be recolored yellow but I like the blue lights in the demo. Currently it needs 8,000 backers to go into production and as of writing this article it is at 3723 and climbing. 45 days to go and it is looking good already.
No campaign is complete without stretch goals and we have three for this one. If we get ten thousand orders a new Lady Jay figure in cold weather gear is included. Along with a fishing pole, ice auger, a second portrait with hat, her weapons and a coffee cup.
Strech goal two however is an entire playset. G.I. Joe had these in the past and I love this. At ten thousand units we’ll get this Bivouac with a soft goods tent and a ton of accessories including fish. Yes, I said fish. And a rocket launcher, should have led with a rocket launcher.
And lastly at fourteen thousand backers a Flint figure in cold weather gear will go into production. Included will be an additional head, rifle, shotgun, sidearm, two skewers with sausages, a frying pan with eggs and a coffee pot with a cup. Look, I like all these little accessories. I bet a lot of toy photographers will also love these.
