First teased at the end of the first season of Ms. Marvel the first trailer for The Marvels has released online. Let’s look at the 33rd movie to be released in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and talk about it after the jump.
So I’m not one of those people tired of superhero movies, quite the contrary, give me all the superhero movies and keep them coming. Please don’t suck though. So the premise of the movie is something is linking characters Monica Rambeau played by Teyonah Parris, Carol Danvers played by Brie Larson, and Kamala Khan played by Iman Vellani. This link is unfortunately causing them to switch places no matter what their placement in the universe may be. We saw this happen to Kamala and Carol in the post credits scene of the Ms. Marvel series. So, our heroes have to team up to get to the bottom of this and it looks like they will be battling the aliens The Kree along the way.
One of the things I noticed with the addition of The Kree is it looks like Zawe Ashton will be playing a character associated with or a new Ronan the Accuser noted by the hammer she was carrying. Also seeing Kamala’s family again is going to be great cause this cast was very entertaining in the Disney Plus show. Park Seo-joon was also seen in the trailer and we’ve yet to know what role he’ll be playing. Now we see Nick Fury and I’m hoping the upcoming Secret Wars will bridge the gap on what he was up to.
The Marvel’s is set to release November 10th, 2023.
