If you didn’t pick up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge last year you missed out on a really good game. Classic side scrolling action with all the Leo, Mikey, Raph, Donny, April and Casey as playable characters it hit that nostalgia while feeling new all at the same time. It was available on all platforms and I had so much fun with it I accidentally ordered it on two of mine. I’m actually seeing it on sale some places if you want to download a really awesome party game. Well coming later this year Tribute Games will be releasing DLC called Dimension Shellshock. New levels, game mode, skins for your characters, and at least one new playable character Usagi Yojimbo the rabbit bodyguard created by Stan Sakai. You had me at Usagi. No dates have been announced for release but whatever date it comes out clear my schedule. The first game was a blast to play and featured the original cast of the 1987 cartoon Cam Clarke, Barry Gordon, Rob Paulsen, and Townsend Coleman. Not to mention a soundtrack that featured Mega Ran, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and Mike Patton that you could download and was even released on CD and vinyl due to it’s popularity. I can’t say enough you guys. This was a winner.
With all this gushing I may have to go give it another playthrough. I haven’t played through with every character yet because each one has a different feel to them. Another feather in the cap for Tribute Games and Dotemu.
