Write a story about the King of Monsters, Big G, His momma named him Godzilla. Well I think we can manage that. Toho released Shin Godzilla in 2016 and while we’ve gotten two more movies released from WB it hasn’t been the same. Well Kong vs. Godzilla was great cause Big G whooped that punk gorilla. But I do want to go back to the roots and the good folks over at Toho have clearly been reading my mind because an all new Godzilla movie is coming our way. This December 1st, 2023 Godzilla Minus One releases in theaters.
Okay yes, it’s a teaser but that’s enough for me. If you get a Godzilla roar in a teaser I’m usually throwing money already. This is going to be an interesting take because this takes place in a Japan that has been ravaged by war. And now a giant monster lurks on the horizon. Now normally I’m pro monster but why attack at the bleakest time? Normally these things happen while humans are set with no worries and then disaster strikes. But even I’ll admit putting a kaiju on the humans while down is kind of wrong.
Also I would like to add the movie debuts in Japan November 3rd but will see a U.S. release December 1st. This film has been written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki of Lupin the III and the Parasyte series. Can’t wait for my early Christmas present this year. Hoping we get a larger trailer and synopsis in a few months.
