Blue Beetle Final Trailer

I’m not sure how more I could be sold on a movie than I am with Blue Beetle. It look entertaining, has this family appeal that I loved with the first Shazam, suit looks ridiculously accurate to the comic, Xolo Maridueña is a great actor and he’s going far in this business I’m sure. I could write my college dissertation on how hype I am for this. But this latest trailer somehow increased that. Nice work DCEU, let’s take a look.

Let me just check the notes I took during the trailer, oh I just sloppily scribbled awesome. I will say we get to see more of the character of Jaime Reyes and his family. And the interactions with he Scarab who’ll be voiced by Becky G have the potential to be very entertaining. Oh and more of Susan Sarandon’s motivations as she plays Victoria Kord the sister of Ted Kord the original Blue Beetle. I’m still wondering how we’re going to tie this movie to the original Blue Beetle as we get some great shots of the family ransacking Kord’s lab and Grandma getting into the heavy firepower. August 18th can’t get here fast enough.

Blue Beetle is directed by Angel Manuel Soto (Charm City Kings, Dinner Party) and is written by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer. It stars Xolo Maridueña as Jaime Reyes / Blue Beetle, Bruna Marquezine as Jenny Kord,Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord, Raoul Max Trujillo as Conrad Carapax / Indestructible Man, Damián Alcázar as Alberto Reyes, Jaime’s father, Elpidia Carrillo as Rocio Reyes, Jaime’s mother, George Lopez as Rudy, Jaime’s uncle and Belissa Escobedo as Milagro Reyes, Jaime’s younger sister. Becky G voices Khaji-Da the AI for the Scarab. Blue Beetle debuts in theaters August 18th 2023.
