A masterpiece. A Quiet Place has always been about the intersection between horror stories and stories about humanity and how we connect and communicate. This one does not disappoint.
A Quiet Place tells the story of a terminally ill woman trying to make it through New York on, literally, day one of the invasion. She meets a man who’s also trying to make his way and they join forces. The two lead actors absolutely nail the energy as the characters start to cling together. I cried multiple times watching these two characters learn to care and support and love each other.
It’s as scary as any other Quiet Place, these movies aren’t top of the line as far as terror. There are jump scares galore, and lots of intense sequences, and of course, there’s very little dialogue 😉
